First Steps Family Services Team is part of First Steps (Bath) and are based in the Annexe at Dominion Road in Twerton.

We run groups for families such as Stay and Play/Holiday Play and Bumps and Babies.  These groups provide:

  • a friendly and welcoming environment

  • a chance to meet other families

  • safe and stimulating play

  • baby massage

  • information, advice and support on child development, behaviour and parenting

  • a chance to meet other health professionals e.g. specialists in child health, behaviour and education

 
We also offer other services such as Family Linkworkers, Special Time Playsacks, Shop and Stay and Family Outings.  To find out more about these services, please read our information leaflet.

We also offer individual support with help on issues such as:

  • your child's development

  • helping your child develop their language skills through play

  • helping your child to build relationships through play

  • starting school

  • parenting issues affecting family life e.g. housing, debt and family relationships

  • other specialist services which are available
