First Steps Moorlands Children’s Centre has a 50 place nursery which is open from 8.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday all year round (excluding Christmas shutdown, staff training days, bank holidays). 

 

The children's centre is fully accessible and we pride ourselves in being an inclusive setting.

 

The Baby Room (6 months - 2 years)

  • An inside and outside play area

  • A separate toilet/changing facility

  • A milk preparation room

  • A quiet/sleep room

The Yellow Room (2 - 3 years) and The Blue Room (3 - 5 years)

  • The main play areas are light, spacious and warm

  • The children have a separate area for the development of creativity, and the exploration of sand, water and other natural materials

  • There is also a quiet area where children can rest, enjoy story time; sing songs and rhymes in groups and with their key person

  • There is a 'chat' room to promote communication,  language and listening skills

  • The children have a large outside garden and play area which has a rubberised surface which allows the children to go out what ever the weather
