First Steps Moorlands Children’s Centre has a 50
place nursery which is open from 8.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday all year round
(excluding Christmas shutdown, staff training days, bank holidays).

The Baby Room
(6 months - 2 years)
An inside and outside play area
A separate toilet/changing facility
A milk preparation room
A quiet/sleep room
The Main Room
(2 - 5 years)
The main play areas are light, spacious and warm.
The children have a separate area for the development of creativity,
and the exploration of sand, water and other natural materials.
There is also a quiet
area where children can rest, enjoy story time;
sing songs and rhymes in groups and with their key-workers.
There is a 'chat' room to promote
communication, language and listening skills.
The children have a large outside garden and play area which has a rubberised
surface which allows the children to go out what ever the weather.
