First Steps Twerton Children’s Centre has a 60 place nursery which is open from 8.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

The Baby Room (6 months - 2 years)

 

  • An inside and outside play area

  • A separate toilet/changing facility

  • A milk preparation room

  • A quiet/sleep room

 

 

The Main Room (2 - 5 years)

We currently have several spaces for children over 2 years.  Please call either Karen Jarvis, Children's Services Manager or Emma Henson, Children's Services Assistant Manager on 01225 444791 or email at twertoncc@firststepsbath.org.uk for further information.

  • The main play areas are light, spacious and warm.

  • The children have a separate room for the development of creativity, and the exploration of sand, water and other natural materials.

  • There is also a quiet room where children can rest, enjoy story time; sing songs and rhymes in groups and with their key-workers.

  • There is a sensory room for relaxation or sensory stimulation.

  • The children have an outside garden and covered play area that has recently been resurfaced with a rubberised material made from recycled tyres and trainers.

There is a fully fitted kitchen where drinks, snacks, afternoon tea and two course healthy lunches are prepared.
